Public Indoor Playground Opening Soon
“Since becoming pastor at Grace Community Church, 20076 CR 36, Goshen, Jim Brown has maintained a focus on physical fitness and reaching out to meet the needs of the wider community. That mission is now expanding with the construction of an indoor “park” providing a space for families to, Brown explained, “hang out and enjoy life together” all year round.
It is expected to open after Easter, a week following spring break.
According to Brown, the playground is based on a “ninja warrior” design — akin to the obstacle courses on the television series “American Ninja Warrior” — built by Las Vegas-based MultiPlay USA, using components manufactured in Europe and America. The design features tubes, slides, walls, swings and trampolines, all padded and protected with “safety in mind,” Brown commented.
Brian Sherman, MultiPlay USA’s managing director, informed Brown the Grace Church playground is the largest he has built in the United States, 6,000 square feet and three stories tall. It will be rated to hold 200 people.
An all-glass front will make the play land visible from the outside, and it will have its own entrance, along with space for refreshment and relaxation.
Also part of the indoor park will be an events area, which can be rented for special occasions.
