Fifteen Years Ago – 1993
Dr. John Davis announced his resignation as president of Grace Schools on March 31 after serving seven years in that office and six years previously as executive vice president. Dr. Ron Manahan, provost, was named acting president, effective June 1.
Thirty Years Ago – 1978
Pastoral changes reported: Ron Thompson to Patterson Memorial Brethren Church, Roanoke, Va. and Kurt Miller to Grace Brethren Church, Richmond, Va.
Forty Years Ago – 1968
Charles Lawson was ordained to the ministry at the Trotwood, Ohio, Grace Brethren Church.
The Grace Brethren Church of Brookville, Ohio, dedicated its new building on March 3. Clair Brickel was the pastor. Terry White and the Grace Ambassadors participated in the morning service.
The Kent, Wash., Grace Brethren Church dedicated its new building on April 28. Phillip Simmons was the pastor.
Jim Custer resigned as evangelist with the Brethren Evangelistic Board to accept the pastorate at the Columbus, Ohio, Grace Brethren Church.
Fifty-five Years Ago – 1953
The Alexandria, Va., Grace Brethren Church dedicated its new building on March 29. Kenneth Teague was the pastor.
Sixty Years Ago – 1948
Charles Ashman, Jr., a Grace Seminary student, accepted a part-time position at the Brethren Missionary Herald Co.
