Adam Basinger, a 2011 graduate of Grace College, was promoted on Wednesday within the Indianapolis Indians baseball organization.
Basinger was named the Director of Field Operations for the Indians, the Triple-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Basinger has served for six years on the Indians’ award-winning field operations crew.
The Indians play their home games at Victory Field, a 13,750-seat ballpark located in downtown Indianapolis. The ballpark has received numerous national awards as one of the best minor league ballparks in the United States. The team has led minor league baseball in attendance over the past decade.
He has a wealth of grounds experience. Prior to working with the Indians, Basinger served for three years at the Triple-A Omaha Storm Chasers. Before that, he worked for the Fort Wayne TinCaps at their nationally recognized Parkview Field.
Basinger graduated from Grace with degrees in sport management and business administration, and he also played soccer for the Lancers. – from gclancers.com
