GRACE COLLEGE COUNSELING PROGRAM PLACES SECOND IN SMALL COLLEGE RANKING
Grace College’s undergraduate counseling program recently placed second in the “Top 25 Small Colleges for a Counseling Degree” listing posted this March.
Sorted by overall undergraduate graduation rate, Grace’s Bachelor of Science in Counseling and Bachelor of Arts in counseling degrees appeared behind only Emmaus Bible College.
“We are very pleased that Grace College received the number two ranking in the ‘Top 25 Colleges for a Counseling Degree,’ said Dr. Thomas Edgington, dean of the School of Behavioral Science at Grace. “I believe that we have a special group of team members in the School of Behavioral Science who are committed to providing excellent content in their courses and to investing personally in the lives of their students.”
The Grace College Counseling major provides students with a strong, biblical foundation as they learn about a variety of counseling theories and skills, particularly those developed from theorists who have discovered truth due to the common grace of God. In addition to obtaining entry-level employment in the field, this major is designed to prepare students for graduate work in both counseling and clinical psychology.
“We are pleased to see that the excellence our professors strive for and the quality of our program is reflected in this year’s Best Counseling Degrees ranking,” said Dr. Bill Katip, president of Grace. “We are confident that students who have chosen to attend Grace for a quality, faith-based education in counseling will know they have come to the right place.”
