Anticipating a winter storm with deep freeze temperatures, Grace College and Seminary, Winona Lake, Ind., delayed the opening of the second semester of classes this week. This announcement was posted on their website and social media over the weekend. (It was also shared on the GraceConnect Facebook page.)
Due to the anticipated severe winter weather, the start of classes for the spring semester has been delayed until Tuesday evening, January 7. This means all Monday day, Monday evening, and Tuesday day classes are cancelled. Tuesday evening classes (any class meeting after 5:00pm) will meet.
New Student Orientation scheduled for Sunday evening has also been postponed.
Residence Halls are open for students desiring to return to campus ahead of the weather. Students choosing to arrive early should email their RD to let them know they are returning today. Meals will be served in Alpha dining beginning with lunch on Sunday. All students are encouraged to use discretion and caution regarding travel – even after the severe weather has passed.
Further updates, cancellations, or delays will be communicated via email, social media, and the Grace website.
