WINONA LAKE – The Grace College women’s soccer team, in conjunction with the Haitian Women’s National Team, is offering a free girls’ soccer clinic to the local community.
Each Monday throughout the summer and continuing through July at Miller Field, girls ages 12-17 have the opportunity to train with Lady Lancer student-athletes and players and coaches from Haiti’s WNT.
Grace head coach Michael Voss, who is also an assistant on Haiti’s WNT, was “stoked” to offer a chance to enhance the level of soccer in the Warsaw/Winona Lake community.
“This is a product of the [Haitian] coaching staff wanting to help grow women’s futbol in each of our local communities, and this is one of the things we decided to do,” Voss said. “We are eager to find ways to give back out of the blessings God has graced us with, especially to the ones we live with. This is missional for us and is a great way to live it out.”
