Grace College students participate in Give ‘Til You Drop event
Wednesday, folks in Kosciusko come together to help the community.
It’s all part of the 5th annual Supermarket Sweep: Give ‘Til You Drop event.
At Owen’s Supermarket, Grace College and Mission Point Community Church members are collecting food and baby products. The event was created to give Grace College students and the community the opportunity to help those in need.
After 9 p.m. the store will be crowded with students competing to raise the most items.
“When you’re in a community that’s willing to serve those around them, we are hoping no one will go hungry this holiday season,” said Grace College student Alessa Smith. “I have been able to be a recipient in different areas on the other side, and I know that the same thing is going on here. I have seen so much activity from the community, so I know we are doing a lot to help.”
