WINONA LAKE, Ind. – Grace’s women’s basketball team will hold a Black Out in support of Destiny Rescue on Wednesday.
The Lady Lancers are asking all fans to participate in the Black Out by wearing black for the Jan. 18 evening game against Indiana Wesleyan at the Manahan Orthopaedic Capital Center.
The Black Out is to create awareness for child sex trafficking and to raise funds to rescue children through the ministry of Destiny Rescue.
All Crossroads League women’s basketball teams are partnering in the event during the month of January. The goal for each school is to raise $1,500 during the campaign, approximately the amount needed to rescue one child from sex trafficking.
“Black Out Slavery” shirts will be sold to fans for $3 on game day, and a Destiny Rescue representative will be on site to provide education and information to the teams, campus, and community.
