Human sex trafficking is a growing epidemic in our country, in our state and yes, even in our community. The nature of this modern-day slavery is that it is performed in secret, often in the dark, and therefore usually goes unnoticed.
Grace College, Winona Lake, Ind., in partnership with the Bethel College School of Nursing, will host a forum to equip students, faculty and staff, and the general public with tools to recognize and help fight sex trafficking. The forum will take place at 1 p.m., Friday, Feb. 22, in the Grace College McClain Auditorium.
FBI Task Force Officer Chris McCarty from the Indianapolis Division will present an overview of sex trafficking for approximately one hour, followed by question and answers from the audience.
RSVPs are requested (but not required) for this event. To RSVP or for more information, please email Chable Johnson at johnsoc@grace.edu.
The McClain Auditorium, located in McClain Hall, is accessible via Wooster Rd. or Kings Highway. See #15 on this campus map.
