Taste of the World – Wednesday, November 16, 2011
WINONA LAKE, IND. – Grace College Conference on Mission is hosting their annual Taste of the World experience, an evening of ethnic food, cultural entertainment, and family fun! Taste of the World is open to the public and will take place on Wednesday, November 16, at the Gordon Recreation Center located on the Grace College Campus. The event will run from 5-8pm and the meal cost is $5 for community members. Children five and under are free.
Participants will be able to learn about several different cultures and nations through games, entertainment and food. Mission representatives from more than 25 organizations will be involved in leading games from around the world and will share their perspective on life and ministry in a different country. Ethnic foods, provided by Sodexo’s specialty chefs, will be served from 5-7pm. A free concert will be held with guest performances by a Mariachi band at 5pm, an African drum band at 6pm, as well as Capoeira, a Brazilian martial arts and dance group performing at 6:45pm.
