Grace College’s softball team picked up two national awards on Tuesday.
Kati Gregory and Hannah England were named the NCCAA National Players of the Week for their work in the Crossroads League Tournament.
Gregory hit .500 last week in the Crossroads League Tournament to keep Grace alive. She drove in three RBIs in Grace’s 5-1 upset of Huntington, and she was also 1-for-2 with a walk against top-seeded Marian.
England, who was also named the Crossroads League Pitcher of the Week, pitched a gem to upset Huntington. She allowed one unearned run and five hits in a complete-game victory over the Foresters to kick off the league tourney. — from gclancers.com
