Grace College sophomore Adam Churchill of Warsaw, Indiana, a member of Grace’s soccer team, was responsible for saving the life of a baby recently.
The incident happened at a bicycle festival, sponsored by the Village at Winona, on May 5 and 6.
A baby was left unattended in its stroller and rolled backward into Winona Lake’s canal. Someone saw the stroller go into the canal and noticed a small hand sticking out of the water. Adam jumped into the canal and pulled the baby out.
A local resident wrote a letter to the Warsaw Times Union to say a public thanks to Adam and the other person for saving the baby. She mentioned that the parents did not take time to say thank you.
