A trio of Grace College tennis players added awards for their work in the classroom.
Emily Mast and Carrie Copeland of Grace’s women’s tennis team as well as Pavle Popovic from the men’s side were named NCCAA Scholar-Athletes.
The NCCAA recognizes juniors and seniors with a GPA of at least 3.40.
All three players experienced tremendous success on the court as well. Including the spring season, Emily Mast finished her three-year career as one of the most accomplished players in program history. She finished in the top 10 all-time in total winning percentage (second, .771) and total wins (fifth, 74), all while being named All-Crossroads League three times.
Copeland was equally impressive. She wrapped up her four-year career ranked first all-time in total wins (87) and doubles wins (50). She ranks fifth all-time for overall winning percentage (.685).
Popovic was named to his second straight All-League Team after the fall season. He posted a 14-8 doubles record and 13-8 singles mark, including the shortened spring season. – from gclancers.com
