Grace College’s women’s soccer team wrapped up the 2019 campaign as the No. 14 team in the NAIA Top 25 Coaches’ Poll.
The Lady Lancers (16-5-2) enjoyed one of their most successful seasons in program history. The Michael Voss-coached team qualified for the NAIA National Championships for the third time.
Grace won two matches to claim the NAIA Opening Round bracket in Kansas, qualifying for the NAIA “Sweet 16” in Orange Beach, Ala.
Grace’s 16 victories were the fourth-most in team history. The Lady Lancers posted a 6-2-1 mark in the Crossroads League and reached the semifinals of the CL Tournament.
The Lady Lancers finished the season ranked in the top 25 for both goals (63) and shutouts (10).
The Crossroads League was well-represented in the poll, including No. 2 Marian, No. 7 Indiana Wesleyan and No. 24 Spring Arbor. Mt. Vernon Nazarene was also receiving votes.
