Here’s the April prayer letter from Jack Brown, executive director of Grow New England, including an invitation to come to New England for a lobster dinner:
“For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we will live together with Him.” (1 Thessalonians 5:9-10)
In 11 days, we will remember the death of our Savior and two days later His resurrection. As a result of His finished work we have hope… our salvation has been secured and we will live together with Him. We’re looking forward to proclaiming that hope at both our Danvers and our Essex campuses.
On Saturday, April 13, we will hold our third annual “Make Your Own Easter Baskets” at our Danvers campus. We anticipate 70 children plus their parents to attend this event. This year we are adding a little twist to the event that we believe will encourage folks to attend on Easter Sunday morning for our service and brunch. Please be praying!!
Also, I received a call the other day from a couple who had been part of our church several years ago. It looks like the wife might be getting a new assignment in New England. The husband has been doing some preparation for ministry, including being mentored by no less than four Charis Fellowship (GBC) pastors. This potential move could take place in the Summer of 2020. Your prayers are greatly appreciated. Perhaps an answer to one of our ongoing prayer requests each month.
It is exciting to be a part of what God is doing in this region. I want to thank you for your partnership. I also want to ask you to prayerfully consider how you can be involved in the ministry of church planting in New England.
- We need prayer partners. Will you commit to pray with us for the advancement of the gospel in New England?
- We need financial partners. The opportunities are outpacing the giving. Will you consider giving financially to the advancement of the gospel in New England?
- We need laborers. Would you consider coming to serve in New England?
Come visit us this summer… lobster dinner is on me. My offer stands from Memorial Day to Labor Day we would love for our fellowship of churches to get a feel for the need of our region and the work that God is allowing us to be a part of.
All monies received by Grow New England will be used to enlist, educate, and equip church planters to establish Charis Fellowship (Grace Brethren) Churches on Boston’s North Shore and throughout New England.
