Jesus G. Munoz, director of ethnic ministries, S.E. USA, for Encompass World Partners, has sent this update from Dumont Cardichon, a pastor at Family Christian Community Center, a Haitian Grace Brethren church in Deerfield, Fla. He shares news of the opening of Grace Theological Institute, a program designed to train pastors and church planters in their community.
I take this opportunity to send you greetings from Miami. At same time, I want to make aware of the opening of Grace Theological Institute among the Haitian community in South of Florida. It took us two years of thinking and planning on how to open the Grace Theological Institute, where it would be located it and who would be the person responsible to run it. God has answered our prayers by giving us the right people and the right place according to our needs.
We have now Grace Theological Institute (Fort-Lauderdale Campus) opened with two classes: one class in French with eight students and one in English with three students.
We have also Grace Theological Institute (Miami Campus) opened with 21 students. Classes are done in French and English.
This is not only good news but a powerful blessing from God almighty. The training is a curriculum that will take two and a half years for the students to graduate. The philosophy behind our curriculum is: church growth, church planting, and church equipping. We want to have more and better leaders to proclaiming the Word of God in the Caribbean Islands and in Florida. We thank everyone of you that made this a reality.
Please pray with us that this effort will bring glory to God and that we will have more and better trained leaders for our churches and church plants.
