As not one, but two potential hurricanes were bearing down on Hawaii, GraceConnect contacted the pastors at the Grace Brethren churches in the state to see how they were faring and if there were ways the people of the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches could be praying.
According to weather.com, Iselle made landfall on the Island of Hawaii, the largest island in the chain, on Friday as a tropical storm. Hurricane Julio may still be a threat to the big island.
Both Grace Fellowship in Waipahu, and Waipio Grace Brethren Church in Mililani are on the Island of Oahu and have not been impacted, as of late Friday.
Ted Kirnbauer, pastor of Grace Fellowship said they had little rain and a little wind following Iselle. “It wasn’t even the heaviest rain we have had this year,” he said. “No story other than praise.”
