Football coach Josh Henderson will leave Grace Brethren at end of abbreviated season
Josh Henderson has led Grace Brethren to 94 victories, seven league titles, two CIS-SS, and one CIF-State Crown.
Josh Henderson considers his decade-long success at Grace Brethren High about much more than football.
“We’ve won football games to be sure, but we’ve also established a discipleship for the players in our program that to me is very important,” he says. “We’re very proud of what we’ve done. God and family are everything to me, and I know that God has given me signs over the past six months as to what’s next for me.”
Henderson said the next phase of his life will be without the football program from the small school that he helped transform into a big-time powerhouse.
Grace Brethren High announced Wednesday that Henderson will step down as head coach at the conclusion of the abbreviated 2021 season. A campaign scuttled last fall by the COVID-19 pandemic has now been cleared to launch.
