Spaghetti mission trip fundraiser Sunday
A spaghetti feed will be held Sunday to raise travel expense funds for a missionary work team from Grace Brethren Church, which will soon spend more than two weeks at the Buseko Children’s Home in Zambia, Africa.
The dinner, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the church, 355 Panama Ave., also includes salad, bread, drinks and ice cream. Suggested donations are $10 per adult, $25 per family and $5 for children under 12.
There is still room on the team for people who want to participate in this trip, with a departure date of Sept. 15 and return date of Oct. 2. The team will help construct a new project, sponsored by Seeds of Hope Children’s Ministry, for the home. Children in the home have HIV/AIDS or were orphaned because of AIDS.
All donations go to support the work team, with expenses estimated at approximately $3,000 per person.
