It was 25 years ago that Bob and Lisa Schloss, co-founders of New Song Mission, came to know Christ through the ministry of Pastor Paul Woodruff at Eagle Creek Grace Brethren Church (ECGBC). So it was an especially meaningful event to have a group of 23 men, women, and youth from the church come to the New Song campus to donate labor on Saturday, April 30th.
“It’s really neat that this has come full circle,” said New Song board member and ECGBC church member, Herb Simpson. “I think it meant a lot both to the Eagle Creek folks and to Bob and Lisa to partner together in ministry given the common bond that we have shared historically,” shared Herb.
While on campus, our ECGBC friends helped stake the property lines of New Song’s 100 acres, did some grueling grounds keeping work, and helped with an extensive wiring project on one of the homes.
“I believe that the greatest impact New Song will have is to let the children know that they are loved,” said ECGBC team leader, Bob Cunningham. “Knowing that we had a small part in this is truly special.”
