The international Charis Alliance Conference that was planned for November 2020 in Nairobi, Kenya, has been postponed until November 2022, according to a letter sent in June to members of the Alliance.
The letter noted that the “pandemic has created many disruptions in our lives and ministries. The uncertainties concerning travel restrictions and the risk of being denied the opportunity to gather has led us to conclude that we must postpone our CHARIS2020FORUM until Nov 2022.”
Charis Steering Committee is encouraging regional forums in late 2021 primarily to 1) promote more cooperation for the Commitment to Common Ministry and 2) to prepare more adequately for international forum discussions about revisions to the Commitment to Common Identity.
