Jane Peters, who served in the Central African Republic with her husband, George, has died. Her obituary appears below.
Sara Jane Peters, 84, of Wooster, Ohio, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at West View Healthy Living.
Private services will be held at Wooster Cemetery with Pastor Robert D. Fetterhoff, her brother, Pastor George Johnson, and her son, Pastor Tom Peters, officiating. Online tributes may be made at RobertsFuneralHome.com.
Jane was born August 10, 1935, in Akron, Ohio, to Guy Allen and Edith Ann (Hall) Johnson.
She graduated 2nd in her class from Northwestern High School in 1953.
She married Frederick George Peters on June 20, 1954. He survives.
Jane retired from the Atkinson Printing, where she worked in the bindery department. She was a member of Grace Church. While serving as a missionary she taught Sunday School to children and women in Africa. Jane enjoyed traveling, flowers, music, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored.
Jane will be deeply missed by her husband, George; sons Daniel (Sherry) of Wooster; David (Anita) of Orrville; Tom (Sue) of Wooster; and Phil (Su) Peters of Olympia, Wash.; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, George (Evelyn) Johnson and Jim (Maxine) Johnson, all of Wooster; Art (Penny) of Clearwater, Fla.; John (Kathy) of Akron; and Tim (Jacque) Johnson Lynchburg, Va.
Jane was preceded in death by her brother David Johnson.
