The Winona Lake Jazz Festival will take place on Saturday, July 27, from 1 – 7 p.m. under a large tent on Tabernacle Lawn, 801 Park Ave., Winona Lake, Ind. Part of the Grace College and Village at Winona Festival of Music, the free, outdoor concert is sponsored by Sweetwater Sound.
The lineup includes a fantastic array of groups throughout the day, including Marty Becker and the Dockside Dixieland Band, the Alicia Pyle Quartet, and Wally Brath and Friends. The festival will conclude with a much-anticipated performance by Chicago jazz trumpeter Orbert Davis and his quintet. The Emmy Award-winning jazz trumpeter and bandleader is considered one of Chicago’s “most admired jazz artists.”
The complete concert schedule is as follows: 1 p.m.: Marty Becker and the Dockside Dixieland Band; 2:30 p.m.: Wally Brath and Friends; 4 p.m.: Alicia Pyle Quintet; 5:30 p.m.: Orbert Davis.
In addition to terrific music, guests can also enjoy beautiful scenery, partake of the food trucks and test their own skills in the instrument tent provided by Mynett Music. Jazz Fest will take place rain or shine.
