A joint memorial service for Harold G. and Fern Price Jones, of Souderton, Pa., will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, August 25, at the Telford, Pa., campus of Penn Valley Church, a Grace Brethren church in eastern Pennsylvania (Tim Boal, executive director). Harold died on June 22. Fern died August 9. Harold served on staff at the Telford church for many years and was pastor emeritus at his death. Fern Price Jones, of Souderton, Pa., died August 9, 2013 at the age of 89. She was the beloved wife of the late Reverend Harold G. Jones for 67 years. Rev. Jones went home to the Lord just 18 days earlier. Fern was born May 18, 1924 to Horace Nace and Lydia Price Nace in Franconia. Fern was the much-loved mother of Stephen K. (Debby) Jones, Karen S. (William) Petrauskas, Michael S. (Marianne) Jones, Jennifer L. (John) Raffetto, and Timothy C. Jones. Her eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren were adored by her and she by them. Fern served Penn Valley Grace Brethren Church as the banquet planner and volunteer hospitality director for many years. She was loved and admired by all who were blessed to know her. Her sister, Mildred (Paul) Townsend survives her as does her brother, Robert (Mildred) Nace. Fern is preceded in death by her sister Beulah (Norman) Townsend. A joint memorial service will be held for Harold and Fern at Penn Valley Grace Brethren Church, 320 N. 3rd St., Telford on August 25 at 2PM.
