Christian artist Josh Garrels will perform on the Grace College campus Friday, September 6, at 7 p.m. on the lawn at the corner of King’s Highway and Wooster Rd. in Winona Lake, Ind. Part of the Grace College and Village at Winona Festival of Music, the free, outdoor concert will take place during Grace’s annual “Sibs Weekend” as students enjoy a weekend with their siblings.
Resting between accessibility and honesty, Garrels’ songs wrestle with and celebrate the mystery of faith with authenticity and heart. Garrels cultivates a genre-blending mix of folk and hip hop and explores themes of compassion, hope, longing, and liberation.
“We aim to bring artists and musicians to Grace College that showcase God’s creativity,” said Dr. Wally Brath, 2019 Festival of Music coordinator and Grace College director of worship arts. “Those who attend will appreciate Josh Garrels’ songwriting gifts and musicianship.”
The September 6 concert is open to the public. The concert will take place rain or shine. Tickets for the Dec. 8 Christmas concert can be purchased at www.wagonwheelcenter.org/
