Grace Christian Announces 2018 Graduates
Grace Christian announces the graduation of the class of 2018. On Sunday, May 20, 2018, Grace Christian School held its third Annual Commencement Service in the sanctuary of Grace Brethren Church of West Kittanning. Three students graduated from Grace Christian School this year.
Cole Hunter Fiscus, of Cowansville is the son of David and Cathy Fiscus. Cole has attended Grace Christian School since enrolling in Mrs. Hankinson first grade class in 2006. While at Grace Christian School, he participated in the Geography Bee and served on the Yearbook Staff. He also helped build and design sets for the stage crew for four years. Photography and art are special areas of interest to him. Cole is an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, and trapping. He plans on a career in farming after graduation.
Courage Arthur Houston, of Templeton is the son of Laurence and Sandra Houston. Courage became a student at Grace Christian School with dual enrollment at IUP and Butler County Community College. He starred in 2 productions at Grace Christian School, The Mouse Trap and You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Also, he was part of the stage crew for Narnia. In addition, Courage was on the Yearbook Staff for one year. His future plans include an undergraduate degree in business then proceeding to law school.
Kent Eugene Mummert, of Shelocta is the son of Candace and the late Gary Mummert. He enrolled at Grace Christian in the seventh grade. During his years at Grace Christian he was very active in the Drama Club, participating in GCS’s productions of The Mouse Trap, as part of the stage crew and as part of the cast in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Narnia, and Treasure Island. Kent has designed the GCS Faculty and Staff pages of the yearbook for four years. His favorite memories from GCS are going to the Pittsburgh Zoo and watching A Musical Christmas Carol at the Byham Theatre. Kent would like to direct plays and be a party planner in the future.
