Joel Hawthorne is the new chairman of the CE National Board of Directors. Joel is the executive director of Specialty Steel Works where he oversees the company from their Hammond, Ind., location. He and his wife, Jodi, are committed believers and their home is in Tennessee. He is a devoted CE National Board of Directors member and led volunteers to Urban Hope in Philadelphia for more than eight years. He also led an Urban Plunge team to Los Angeles.
Joel is a business man with a ministry heart. Until recently he led a weekly small group ministry to high school boys at Grace Church in Akron, Ohio (Bath Campus). He believes in the CE National goal to be a catalyst to help people live ON MISSION and wants to see the organization continue to succeed and grow. Joel’s own life was impacted through CE’s ministry to the overlooked. He and his wife Jodi have four adult children. CE National is excited Joel will lead the CE National Board of Directors.
Jon Rauch is completing his service on the board of directors in order to devote more time to his home and church ministries.
We thank Jon for his faithful leadership as chairman of the CE National Board for several years. He will be missed. Jon is leaving the board to have more time to be focused on his wife, Tara, and their four school-aged children. He is also an active staff pastor at Grace Community Church in Goshen, Ind. He and Tara have served in urban ministry, children’s ministry, and have led almost all other age groups.
Other executive members of the CE National Board include Brad Deetscreek vice chairman of the board and on the leadership of family staff at Grace Church in Akron, Ohio. Donna Yost, former children’s director and now women’s director at Grace Church in Wooster, Ohio, is the executive member-at-large. Jason Haymaker, senior pastor at Western Reserve Church outside of Cleveland, Ohio, is board secretary. — from cenational.org
