A Christian’s response to homosexuality is the theme at Grace Church, a Grace Brethren congregation in Lititz, Pa. (Ivanildo Trindade, pastor), as they host Dr. Christopher Yuan, a professor at Moody Bible Institute, on October 17 and 18.
Beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Dr. Yuan will share his story and what it tells about a Christian response to homosexuality. He will also share relevant Biblical texts about homosexuality and take questions.
On Sunday, he will speak at both the 9 and 10:45 a.m. worship services at the church, which is located at 501 West Lincoln Ave., Lititz. He will speak on “A Gay Son’s Journey to God: Family Testimony.”

Dr. Yuan’s speaking ministry on faith and sexuality has reached five continents. He has spoken at conferences such as InterVarsity’s Urbana and the Moody Pastors’ Conferences and Men’s Conference, on college campuses, and in churches, including Saddleback Church and Willow Creek Community Church. He is featured in the award-winning documentary “HOPE Positive: Surviving the Sentence of AIDS,” and has co-authored with his mother their memoir, Out of a Far Country: A Gay Son’s Journey to God, A Broken Mother’s Search for Hope. Christopher graduated from Moody Bible Institute in 2005, Wheaton College Graduate School in 2007 with a Master of Arts in Biblical Exegesis, and received his Doctorate of Ministry in 2014 from Bethel Seminary.
