Here’s a followup note from Lititz pastor Scott Distler about Wednesday evening’s fire incident in the Lititz church building:
We definitely praise the Lord for His protection. Today I received this e-mail from a man who attends our church and is part of the fire department:
“Pastor Scott, in my 26+ years in the fire service, I have dealt with a lot of property owners after a fire incident. I just wanted to say that you and your staff handled yourself in an extremely professional manner. You have surrounded yourself with great people, all of which have a unique gift to contribute to the body of Christ. Also, I believe in God’s hedge of protection. Once again, in all my years in the fire service I never have seen a fire of that intensity, stay in that one area, without extending into other areas. It was truly a God Thing!”
God certainly does work all things together for good, doesn’t He? I communicated with the Fire Chief this morning to thank him for his department’s assistance last night and to invite him to our special Patriotic Celebration that we will be having on Sunday morning, July 2nd, at the Lititz Springs Park where we honor military personnel and public safety personnel. I was thrilled to hear that the Chief is going to do his very best to get the entire force out for this service. God is good!
