This morning’s e-mail update from Lititz (PA) Grace Brethren pastor Scott Distler carries the following report:
Last Friday night was an evening of celebration for the Lady Eagles Varsity Basketball team of Lititz Christian School.
Junior center Angie Rapchinski needed only 11 points to hit 1,000 for her High School career. She accomplished all 11 in the first period. Coach Mike Rohrer stopped the game after her milestone basket and presented her with a special ball signed by all the coaches and players and recognized her for being the athlete to reach 1,000 points quicker than anyone else in the history of the school.
One of the team’s assistants told me that he was blessed prior to the game to hear many of the other girls on the team sharing how Angie has been a big help and encouragement to them in their lives.
The girls went on to beat Highpoint Baptist 58-8 to improve their league-leading record to 5-0 and 9-2 overall.
