From Pete Forshtay, pastor of Crossroads Community Church, a Grace Brethren congregation in metro Philadelphia, Pa., comes this request:
Crossroads Community Church in Philadelphia is in need of about 60 to 70 matching NASB pew Bibles. Our current policy, as a church, and for the past few years, has been to give a Bible away to anyone in our congregation who has been in need. In a short time, with folks from our neighborhood coming through our worship services, we’ve given a majority of our pew Bibles away. Since that time, we’ve been able to acquire other Bibles that we’re able to hand out, but no matching Bibles with which we’re able to replenish our sanctuary to make sure everyone is on the same page, which I’m finding is important for people who aren’t familiar with their Bibles and need to be told page number along with the reference.
Pete is looking for 60 to 70 extra matching NASB pew Bibles. He’s wondering if a church in the FGBC might have extras they would be willing to donate to this urban ministry. Contact Pete at peteforshtay@gmail.com.
