An attender of the Meyersdale, Pa., Grace Brethren Church (Randy Haulk, pastor) is one of two students to be honored this month by the Meyersdale Lions Club, according to the Daily American in Somerset County, Pa.
Christopher Schrock Jr. will represent Meyersdale Area High School at the October meetings of the Meyersdale Lions Club.
Christopher is the son of Christopher and Sharon Schrock of Meyersdale.
His school activities include football and baseball where he lettered for four years. He is the sports editor for the school newspaper Raider Review, vice president of the Spanish club, student council, student tutor, and a member of the 1000+SAT/PSAT club.
Schrock’s out of school activities include attending Meyersdale Grace Brethren Church, volunteering at the Pennsylvania Maple Festival and volunteering to referee the Meyersdale Youth Flag football games. In 2011, Schrock traveled to Tuscaloosa, Ala. with the mission team Project Blessings. While there, he helped to clean up and rebuild houses that were damaged by a tornado.
