In July, Encompass’ current executive director, Dave Guiles, announced he will transition into a new role with the organization next year. Encompass has announced that Mike Yoder will succeed him in 2023. Mike will spend the first six months training with and learning from Dave, and in July 2023 he will assume full responsibility for the role of executive director.
“I am extremely pleased that our Board of Directors selected Mike Yoder as my successor,” Dave said. “I’ve observed God at work in and through Mike since we first met, over 35 years ago. He loves God, the nations, and the local church, and I am confident he’s up to the challenge to guide Encompass World Partners into a new chapter of effectiveness and impact.”
Mike Yoder has served as the lead pastor of Grace Polaris Church in Columbus, Ohio, for the past 11 years. He and his wife, Letitia, have been married for 28 years and together they have four children.
Prior to moving to Columbus, the Yoders served on staff with Encompass for 15 years, ten of those years in Berlin, Germany. Mike’s unique experience both as a global worker and as a lead pastor will serve him well as he leads Encompass into a new era of ministry.
