Pastor Charlie Barnhill of the Heartland Grace Brethren Church in Mt. Gilead, Ohio, shared with ministers of the North Central Ohio district yesterday that the Heartland congregation has purchased an 11,000-square-foot former bowling alley (pictured) for use as a worship and fellowship facility.
The church has been meeting in a school for a number of years. The new facility contained 12 bowling lanes. Ten have been removed, with two left for recreational use.
The first worship service in the new building, which is located at 140 E. High Street in Mt. Gilead, will be Sunday, June 4. An Open House and dedication service will be announced at a later date.
Pastor Barnhill indicated that things are “going well” at the Heartland church and gave credit to Pastor Dean Risser, who has been assisting the church for some time with its continued growth and development.
