Nancy Kay Miller, 74, of Roanoke, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 2, 2012. She was preceded by her husband, Pastor Ralph Miller, who died November 27, 2011. The Millers served Grace Brethren churches in Ohio, Iowa, West Virginia, and Virginia. Ralph Miller’s last pastorate was at Boones Mill Grace Brethren Church. She was Nancy Schrock, originally from Waterloo, Iowa.
Mrs. Miller was a member of Patterson Memorial Grace Brethren Church for many years. She was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, sister and a pastor’s wife for 47 years.
Surviving are her daughters, Lori Ann Miller, of Roanoke, and Janice Via, of North Carolina; grandchildren, Nicole Hall, Danny Via, Brett Miller, Bryanna Miller, and Brendon Miller; and a sister, Sally Kuntz.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Patterson Memorial Grace Brethren Church, in her memory.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, July 5, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Simpson Funeral Home. A service celebrating Mrs. Miller’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 6, 2012, at the funeral home with Pastor Don Eshelman officiating.
