WINONA LAKE, IN–December 13th will be the first day the public gets a glimpse of the upcoming documentary Steal from the Devil: The Story of Billy Sunday, America’s Baseball Evangelist. Sunday, whose home and museum are in Winona Lake, is pictured here.
Is the entire documentary ready for public viewing? Not just yet, but the first significant step is complete. This year at the annual Billy Sunday Day event in August the first round of expert interviews and background video footage were shot on site by the project’s award-winning Director/Producer Jeremy Pinckert, owner of Explore Media in Elkhart, Indiana.
Pinckert, winner of an Emmy and numerous Telly awards for visual media production, compiled and edited his footage material to create a two-minute promotional trailer for Steal from the Devil which will be used for public relations and project fundraising.
Funding for the project is pending approval, but production of Steal from the Devil is moving ahead on pace with the goal of securing a national PBS broadcast date once the hour-long program is completed.
On Thursday, December 13th from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Billy Sunday Visitors Center in Winona Lake, the public is invited to attend the first big-screen showing of this trailer, and meet Jeremy Pinckert along with others assisting him in telling the Billy Sunday story to a new generation of Americans.
The trailer is currently available for viewing online at www.explore-media.com.
