“This morning, we all got on a bus around 8:45am and drove to the civil affairs office that handles foreign adoptions. It took us about 20 minutes to get there. When we arrived all the children were already in the room. We were the last ones to get in the door, and when we walked in, there she was sitting on the couch.
“We were in the government office for about 90 minutes, and got back to our hotel rooms before noon. It was just a surreal time as we were finally able to touch and hold Millie after waiting for so long. God answered our prayers (and the prayers of many others) in that Millie definitely seemed prepared to meet us. Marna picked her up and held her. Millie was quiet and didn’t really respond to anything. However, after 5-10 minutes, she was starting to respond. She didn’t cry at all the whole time.”
