Parishioners meet at fire headquarters
In a building designed to train firefighters to save people from car accidents and fires, a group of believers is spending Sundays saving souls.
Members of Life Spring Church this month began meeting in the Brownsburg Fire Territory headquarters on Northfield Drive. It’s the latest move for a group of believers that first met in a living room in August 2006.
“I like the idea of starting with nothing and God putting a church together,” said the Rev. Phil Gabriel, 55. “It is our belief that a church isn’t a building, but is the fellowship of believers in Christ living in relationship with one another. There are thoughts of having our own church building someday but our focus right now is really growing people.”
