Norris B. Mason, 70, Armagh, who was born September 17, 1949 in Johnstown, Pa., was called home to be with his Savior on October 5, 2019. Norris surrendered his life to Jesus Christ and dedicated his life and started pursuing a life of ministry in his late 20s.
Survived by his wife of 43 years, Susan Lois (Hufman) Mason and children, Michael R. Mason, married to former Amy Ewing, and their daughters Hope, Blake and Zoe Mason of Vernon Hills, Ill.; Anna R. Mason of Armagh, Pa.; Stephen R. Mason married to the former Jennifer Stern, and their sons, Jay and Shepherd Mason of Martinsburg, Pa.; and Heidi Opinsky of White Oak, Pa.
Also survived by sisters Reverend Gail E. Mason, Karen L. Mason, and Patricia G. (Mason) Ashcraft, wife of Ronald; brother-in-law Graydon Hufman and his wife Stacey of Duncansville, Pa. Four nephews and one niece; seven great-nieces and nephews. He enjoyed his family and loved being Pappy to his five grandchildren.
Predeceased by parents Robert H. Mason and Barbara L. (Bowman) Mason and granddaughter Atarah Mason.
Norris graduated from Greater Johnstown High School; Liberty University, Bachelor of Science, Pastoral Studies; Grace Theological Seminary, Master of Divinity. In 1985, he began as pastor at Valley Grace Brethren Church in Armagh, Pa., and continued serving for 34 years until his passing.
Friends will be received Wednesday, October 9 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E. Philadelphia St., Armagh. The Memorial Service will be Thursday, October 10 at 11 am at Valley Grace Brethren Church, Armagh, Pa., at the crossroad of Route 22 and Route 56, Pastor Doug Black officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Brethren Church, Box 178, Armagh, PA 15920 or Camp Mantowagan, 2671 Camp Lane, Saxton, PA 16678, where Norris served for 34 years in camp ministry.
