Pastors from Washington and western Canada are gathered this week (May 21, 22 and 23) at Camp Clear Lake near White’s Pass, Wash., for the annual Northwest Focus Retreat for Grace Brethren ministry leaders.
As with the previous retreats, the sessions are led by Dan Allan, pastor of the Grace Brethren Church, Ashland, Ohio, and Bob Fetterhoff, pastor of the Grace Brethren Church, Wooster, Ohio, and current moderator of the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches.
Monday evening, Dan spoke on Finding Your Way Forward. This morning (Tuesday), Bob challenged the men to Find Their Sweet Spot. This afternoon was free for participants to do as they chose. Some hiked to the nearby dam and spillway, others played basketball or spent some quiet time. A group gathered in the multi-purpose room for games and/or conversation.
The retreat concludes tomorrow morning.
In addition to this retreat, Fetterhoff and Tom Avey, fellowship coordinator for the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches, led a Focus Retreat for Alaskan pastors and elders over the weekend. More than 20 participated, including representatives of Encompass World Partners and ICDI (Integrated Community Development International).
