A series of free online cohorts and workshops sponsored by Charis Fellowship ministries will be available the week of July 26 following the WeAreOne event. They range from practical sessions on how to share your faith, to updates on various ministries. Monday, July 27

Nathan Bryant, executive director of Assist Church Expansion (AssistCX), hosts a free Evangelism Training Webinar based on the “Farming Model of Evangelism.” This training is designed to empower you and your church to cultivate purposeful, intentional relationships that will help people discover hope in Jesus Christ.

What is the best way to use video as churches move back to in-person services? How do you do communications and marketing on a tight budget? How do you communicate with people in your community who are not churched? Where do you find resources for marketing and communications?
These topics, and more, will be discussed during the Communications Conversation, which will be led by Liz Cutler Gates, executive director of GraceConnect, and Sarah McMahon, coordinator of the GraceConnect eNews and director of marketing at Western Reserve Grace Church, Macedonia, Ohio.

Church missions leaders are invited to join the discussion and connect with staff from Encompass World Partners, colleagues, and leaders who focus on mobilizing the church for global missions impact. Participants will evaluate key areas for growth, share ideas, and encourage best practices in missions engagement.

4:00 p.m. EDT (1 p.m. PDT) – Redeeming Social Distance: Toward, and Beyond, Racial Reconciliation after a History of Separation
Sponsored by Encompass World Partners, this workshop will provide Scriptural principles, historical insights, and personal lessons learned in the multi-ethnic church-planting journey in Northeast Atlanta. The Gospel compels Jesus-followers to share the Good News and intentionally foster communities across the deepest divides in society, a process that requires strong theological convictions, acute sociological creativity, and lots of cultural humility.

This cohort explores specific biblical guidance that can help individuals become reconcilers in a world of tension and conflict. God calls us to the radical ministry of being peacemakers, not just peacekeepers. Hosted by Women of Grace, USA, it will examine the principles that help develop the mindset needed to defuse conflict and work toward unity in all relationships. The staff at Assist Church Expansion believes God is bringing a “New Day” to Charis Fellowship churches through expanding and preserving the gospel footprint in communities where there are Chairs Fellowship churches. On this livestream, hear from some of Charis pastors who are in the tough and gratifying work of revitalization to give their churches a New Day! In under an hour, you’ll get a clear picture of the vision and work of Assist to expand churches and the Fellowship.
It is the goal of AssistCX is to partner with 30 Charis Fellowship congregations for revitalization over the next five years. We believe that these churches and our Fellowship can have a New Day–continuing to extend the Gospel all over North America!

Sponsored by Encompass World Partners, this workshop will unpack how the organization has developed discipleship materials to help churches take steps to see people engage in the Great Commission in partnership with the church. The newest book in the series is called Pursuing Your Calling. Join to learn how this guidebook for missions goers is designed to help the local church send the next global workers.

7:00 pm EDT (4:00 p.m. PDT) – Chaplains Update
Dish up your favorite dessert, pull up a chair, and join the Eagle Commission via ZOOM for the 2020 Chaplains Update! Hear from many of our chaplains how God is reaching America’s – and now Canada’s – servicemen, women, and veterans. They will provide updates on new duty assignments, how they minister during the COVID crisis, how God has and is answering prayers, and share prayer requests.
Just like the military, the Eagle Commission is a team of committed chaplains, churches, families, and individuals. We desire that the Gospel reaches and changes the lives of those who serve in uniform.

The next opportunity for Charis Fellowship congregations to gather face-to-face will be July 27-29, 2021, in Winona Lake, Ind. The national conference of the Fellowship, Access2021 will feature speakers who were originally slated for this year’s conference, which was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
