Last summers We Are One Breakout entitled, “Redeeming Social Distance; Toward and Beyond Racial Reconciliation After Years of Separation,” has become a series of conversations on the topic. Carlos Tellez led last summer’s Breakout and offered an outline of steps to take in application. Encompass World Partners sponsored the breakout session and has hosted these Zoom meetings in the months that followed.
In November they listened to stories by inviting Grace College leaders to share the story of how they are intentionally seeking to grow in diversity, equity, and inclusion. Special thanks to the leaders at Grace College, Dr. Bill Katip, Cokiesha Bailey-Robinson, and Kearstin Criswell, for sharing your story with us. The recording of that event is available here: vimeo.com/481839274
Tuesday, January 12 at 8 p.m. EST, Dave Guiles, executive director of Encompass World Partners, will help us learn our history with race and racial reconciliation as a fellowship of churches. Dave has been conducting research on the topic and will share an extensive view of our history. We hope you’ll join us for the next conversation in our Redeeming Social Distance Series as we seek to Learn our History. Register here… http://bit.ly/redeemingsocialdistance
