Open Houses at all the Grace Brethren national organizations’ headquarters in Winona Lake, Indiana, will follow the conclusion of today’s classes at 4:30 at Equip05.
At Grace Brethren International Missions, a reception at 5 p.m. will honor retiring missionaries to Africa Eddie and Linda Mensinger and Lois Wilson. At the Brethren Missionary Herald Co. (pictured), the Open House will feature an autograph party with some of BMH Books’ best-loved authors, including Dr. Homer Kent, Jr., Dr. John Davis, Dr. David Plaster, Robert Cover,Sr. and Viki Rife, and Jesse Deloe.
The Open Houses will be followed by a free barbecue dinner at Grace Village Retirement Center and then conference attendees will have the option of attending open recreation at the Gordon Center or a BMH-sponsored hymnsing at Grace Village Retirement Center chapel.
The hymnsing will feature Sharon White at the piano and Ed Lewis at the organ, and the program will include a volunteer choir directed by Don Ogden, a “name that tune” contest, an appearance by “Susannah Wesley” (Miriam Uphouse Christiensen) and the appearance of a “special mystery musical guest.”
