Patrick Kavanaugh passed away from a sudden heart attack on Monday, April 2, 2018. A loving husband, devoted father, and proud grandfather, he is survived by his wife of 42 years, Barbara Beeler, his sons: Christopher (Miyuki), John (Serena), Peter (Zoe), and David (Brittney), and his eight grandchildren: Anneliese, Hazel, Emma, Luna, Kevin, Eva, Kurt, and Ella Rose. Also surviving are his brother Joe (Kathy), brother- and sisters-in law: Andy and Laura Jean Beeler, Susan Beeler, and Jane East.
Patrick grew up in Nashville, Tennessee with his parents, Ann and Edward, and two brothers, Mike and Joe. He embraced whatever he did exuberantly; firstly, football and guitar. At the age of sixteen, he discovered classical music and his life would never be the same. Patrick’s passion for music was only surpassed by his love of the Lord, and throughout his career, he used music to spread the love and message of Christ. As a tremendous musician (composer, conductor, and classical guitarist), minister, author, and the Director of the MasterWorks Festival, Patrick touched countless lives around the world, inspiring young performing artists and delighting audiences of thousands.
His life stands as a testimony to his conviction that knowing, serving, and sharing the eternal love of Our Lord Jesus Christ is most blessed life one can live. Patrick’s legacy will spread through generations.
May he rest in peace in the arms of the Lord!
