Staffing changes at Grace Brethren churches have been announced, as well as several districts have examined several recommended them to their local church for licensure or ordination. Click on their hyper-linked name to send them a note of congratulations.
Nathaniel Foote has started as Associate Pastor of Family Ministries at the Grace Brethren Church in Lexington, Ohio. Previously, he was youth pastor at the Grace Brethren Church, Meyersdale, Pa.
Also at the Grace Brethren Church, Lexington, Ohio, Pastor Jason Carmean has announced that he and his wife, Christy, will be joining Encompass World Partners and will move to Yaounde, Cameroon for a four year term to focus on Leadership Development in the Grace Brethren Churches in the country. He plans to stay at the Lexington church until they leave for Africa sometime in 2014.
Brant Leidy has resigned as Pastor of Children and Parents at Community Grace Brethren Church, Everett, Pa. (Jeff Peeler, senior pastor). He will serve as a program assistant at Camp Mantowagan, Saxton, Pa., this summer.
In the Chesapeake Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches, the Ministerium has approved and recommended two men for credentialing by their churches:
- Scott Avey, to be licensed by the Frederick, Md., Grace Community Church (R Dallas Greene, senior pastor).
- Brad Gromis, to be ordained by the Richmond, Va., Community of Grace (David Kennedy, senior pastor).
In the Heartland District, six men were recommended for examined recently.
- From the Winona Lake, Ind., Grace Brethren Church (Bruce Barlow, lead pastor): Tim Wright, Nick Deck, and Aaron Scantlon were recommended for licensure.
- From Grace Community Church, Goshen, Ind. (Jim Brown, pastor): Jeremiah Olson, Rich Yauger, and Jon Rauch were recommended for ordination.
