Kork Moyer, coordinator for the Northern Atlantic Fellowship, sends along the following note from Julie Smith, wife of Pastor Peter Smith of the Community Grace Brethren Church in Red Hill, PA. Peter has been hospitalized with complications and meningitis following back surgery.
We just wanted to let you know that Peter came home from the hospital today around lunch time.
He was in the Intensive Care Unit for seven days and the Telemetry Unit for three days. It has been a long couple of weeks but we are excited to have him home and he is very glad to be home.
He hasn’t slept much the past few nights due to all of the activities that continue through the night at a hospital but he did sleep most of the afternoon and is feeling much better. He lost 18 pounds during his 10-day stay at the hospital so he will be doing some eating to make up that loss!
Thanks again for your prayers and all of the ways that you all showed concern for our family during this time. God has given us wonderful relatives, church family and friends and you all truly carried us during this time.
Your phone calls, visits, cards and most importantly prayers, have made a difference that you probably can’t even imagine unless you have been through something like this yourself.
We are so thankful for all of you.
Love – Julie & Peter
