Chuck Davis, executive director of Caribbean Vision Ministries, has sent a reminder to pray for this week’s first national conference of the Charis Alliance churches in Haiti.
God has told us to “pray without ceasing” (KJV) or “pray continually” (NIV) because “this is God’s will for you in Christ,” (1 Thessalonians 5:17-18). Prayer is a necessary part of the Christian’s life not just an option. I would like to ask you to practice continual prayer on behalf of Caribbean Vision Ministries personnel in Haiti this week and for the others who will be joining them from other countries and from all sections of Haiti this week at the Historic First Haitian National Conference of the Charis Alliance in Haiti. Personnel in Haiti have been working for some time to make this Conference successful and others started arriving yesterday to join them in this great celebration. The Conference days are Thursday-Saturday of this week (March 28-30) but travel is slow in Haiti because of the distance, roads, and often conditions caused by political unrest. I am sure many are on the road to Cap Haitien now.
Please pray for the approximately 100 Haitian Pastors who will be traveling from all parts of Haiti to Cap Haitien in the Northern area of the country. Pray for their safety, provision for the funds to attend the Conference, and for them to receive great blessings in this time of worship, celebration, prayer, encouragement, challenge and training. Pray that this may be a great refreshing of the spirits of those attending the Conference and that when they return to their place in the Lord’s harvest field in Haiti that God will use them in a greater way to preach the gospel and reach people for Jesus. The Conference will be held on the campus of House of Hope Orphanage and we are delighted to have the Pastors as our guests. Please pray that these Pastors and this Conference will have a great impact on the residents of House of Hope and those students attending Grace Theological Institute in Cap Haitien. On behalf of Caribbean Vision Ministries I would like to thank you for your financial gifts that have made this Conference possible and I would also like to remind you that it is not too late to share a financial gift to help with these expenses. You may give by going to caribbeanvisionministries.org and using PayPal and marking your gift, “Historic Haitian Conference.” Or you may send your gift to: Caribbean Vision Ministries, 14458 Via Royale, Delray Beach, FL 33446. Thank you for your gracious partnership, prayers, and provision. They are investments in the proclamation of the gospel in a needy world.
