Dan O’Deens, executive director of CPR-3, the church planting ministry in Haiti, has requested prayer. Yesterday, he posted the following on Facebook:
Today my heart was sad. Tonight my heart rejoices. Tired we were. The attack of the enemy has been very real and extremely persistent in CPR-3 and Respire Lavi Haiti. Sickness. Neighbor Attacks. Nightmares. Personnel departures. And then today. Pastor Jackson and his community watched at gunpoint a jealous community tear down and destroy their church building and brand new 2 week old community latrine and VIP. Pastor Moise and I called on our team and we prayed Rev 12 and Eph 3. We stand in Victory. It is a worthy cause to suffer loss for the expansion of the Kingdom. If we have nothing worth dying for then we have nothing worth living for. The church is strengthened and grows during persecution. Please church stand with us. Pray with us. We are not defeated.
A few hours later, he added a clarification:
Update. I am sorry if there was confusion to some on my post. One single post with a list of Spiritual attacks felt for some time may have been confusing. We have worked through leadership transition. Many of our staff CIT interns and team members have experienced nightmares. Persistent sickness for our team is beyond normal. We love and serve our neighbors but it never is enough. They want is to provide them all with jobs. Our team is totally safe and unharmed from armed hysteria. Today was another attack against a church in the mountain of Cabaret. It was a planned demonstration where some who chose to hostile over jealousy trying to prove their point hired a group to come with guns so as they destroyed the church and latrine the church people would not be able to defend it. No one hurt. Demonstration done. The Sant Mouvman and our whole staff is fine. Pastor Jackson in fact joined us here to pray.
