Prayer is requested for long-time Charis Fellowship pastor, Don Rough. He has been hospitalized in Pennsylvania since July 5 with COVID. Below is a timeline and yesterday’s prayer request from his son, Tim, which was published on Facebook. It is posted here with his permission.
Update on our dear Dad, Pastor Don Rough, at 10:40 pm, Sunday 7/11/21:
Brief recap:
Monday July 5 – Dad was diagnosed with COVID-19 pneumonia. He was admitted to Windber Hospital.
Thursday July 8 – Dad transferred to Meyersdale Hospital.
Friday July 9 – Because of insufficient oxygen to the body, Dad was put on a BiPAP machine. They began to seek a transfer to a hospital with full ICU capabilities, just in case.
Today’s update:
Saturday July 11, Dad was transferred to Conemaugh Memorial Hospital, as a precaution, since Meyersdale does not have the ICU capabilities should Dad’s condition become worse.
Currently, Dad is not on the BiPAP, but is on supplemental oxygen at a high level. Right now his vitals are good, and his blood oxygen is barely scraping by at the levels he needs to stay off the BiPAP. (Dad hated that machine.)
Please pray:
-that his O2 levels begin to improve, so that they can wean him off supplemental oxygen.
-he will be encouraged by the Holy Spirit
-the Gospel of Jesus Christ will be shared and God will be honored as a result of this ordeal
– that Dad will again be able to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a Church setting
Dad and all of us thank you for your continued prayers for him!
