Prayer is requested for Dr. Rich Schnieders, pastor of Friendship Community Church, a Grace Brethren church in Fort Myers, Fla. He has been in the hospital since last Tuesday after being diagnosed with pancreatitis.
According to his wife, Linda, he had outpatient surgery on Tuesday to remove stones from his bile duct. He went to the emergency room Tuesday evening and was admitted after he was diagnosed with pancreatitis, a rare side effect of this procedure. Since Thursday, he has been in intensive care with labored breathing, kidneys not functioning properly, and a high heart rate. As of Sunday evening, he was still in ICU, the pancreatitis is clearing up and the kidneys are functioning better.
“We will know more tomorrow when we get lab tests and abdomen x-ray back,” Linda says. “Thanks for all your prayers. Our God is faithful!”
